Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao okays Telangana government logo

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday signed his first official file pertaining to the Telangana government logo designed by well-known artist Aelay Laxman at the Secretariat here on Monday.
“It was an informal Cabinet meeting. The first file, pertained to the Telangana logo, was okayed. We will soon meet again,” said home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy.
The election manifesto promise of waiver of agriculture crop loans, payment of Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of Telangana martyrs and other issues will come up during the next Cabinet meeting.
Earlier in the day, Mr Rao assumed charge at office in the presence of TRS secretary general and MP Dr K. Kesava Rao, his daughter and MP Ms Kavita, newly inducted ministers, Secretariat employees and others. The new ministers greeted Mr Rao, some hugged him while others touched his feet.
According to the ministers, Mr Rao asked them to work with dedication and ensure implementation of the party’s election manifesto and a transparent and clean administration.
K.T. Rama Rao said he would strive to raise the brand image of Hyderabad in particular and Telangana in general with proactive steps in all spheres. About the promise to lift pending cases against students and other Telangana agitators, he said the issue would be discussed at the next Cabinet meeting and an appropriate decision taken.
